Granor's glass greenhouse has always been a multi-use space. One of its many purposes is to provide a warm space for thousands of seedlings to grow every May.
In preparation for Granor's Annual Seedling Sale, hundreds of vegetable, herb, flower, and fruit varieties are carefully selected, germinated, and grown in the glass greenhouse.
The day of the Seedling Sale, the greenhouse is a sea of bright green foliage, awaiting customers to curate their dream garden. Granor farmers are close by to offer personalized advice and lend a helping hand when seedlings overflow out of the trays that gardeners are carrying.
Over 150 organic seedling varieties are available to choose from. Between delicate edible nasturtium flowers to vibrant heirloom tomatoes and spicy gochugaru peppers, there's a selection for everyone.
Simultaneously, we celebrated the release of our second Amaro. A herbaceous and light Blackberry Amaro.
Just like our Annual Seedling Sale, this bottle embodies the work of our entire farm. Distilled from our own soft red winter wheat, we redistilled this small batch with summer-harvested Natchez blackberries, citrus, and botanicals. Lighter and more floral than our first Blue Corn Amaro, it offers a delicate, lingering fruit finish. Hand-bottled for Memorial Day weekend, it’s the ultimate pairing for warm evenings and outdoor gatherings.
The weekend's events don't end there. The Farm Store was stocked with fresh produce, curated products, and favorites from the Granor kitchen to make the perfect Memorial Day barbecue.
The other side of the glass greenhouse was summery snacks galore. Prepared by the Granor team, this included gourmet nachos, pretzels and baked goods, plus fresh oysters from Motorshucker.
The Seedling Sale is one of the largest events at Granor every year, and one of our favorites. Happy planting and see everyone next year!
