Farm Camp

From the fields to the kitchen, our weekly summer program for ages 5–10 is an immersive dive into farm life. Each day, campers transform into young growers and chefs: harvesting fresh produce, solving collaborative challenges, and creating nature-inspired art. By working alongside our farm staff, kids don't just learn where their food comes from—they discover the joy of trying something new.

About Farm Camp

Hands-on Themes
From Fruit Farming to Herb Gardening, every session is rooted in discovery. Campers dive into the fields to solve problems and explore the wonders of the natural world.
Lifelong Memories

Small groups and wide-open spaces mean your camper will make friends and find their green thumb. They leave with new skills, great ideas, and a deeper love for farm life.

Farm-to-Plate

Kids get up close with Granor produce to learn the joy of cooking what they grow. By harvesting their own ingredients, they build a lifelong connection to the food they eat.

Expert Leadership

Our team combines 20+ years of teaching expertise with our full-time farm staff. Many of our counselors are even former campers who grew up right here in these very fields.

Activities

Exploring the Fields

It is our goal to immerse the campers in the agricultural process at Granor Farm. The campers will help harvest, weed, water, clean, and manage pests. Campers love to find the wild collection of bugs that hide among the plants. Our farm staff will have assignments each day to be divided up and accomplished.

Arts & Crafts

Each day campers will have opportunities for creative exploration. With nature and farm-based themes, campers use paint, wood, pinecones, rocks, or whatever else they find around the garden to craft and create beautiful pieces of art. These process-based crafts teach campers various creative and fine-motor skills as well as help them become more observant to the world around them.

Cooking

In addition to learning how to harvest vegetables from the fields, we want our campers to learn how to use the food we grow in delicious recipes. Together with our Granor chefs, campers will learn about new recipes, help prepare the food, and hopefully develop a favorite way to prepare and eat yummy vegetables. At the end of the week, campers will go home with a new collection of recipes to share with their families.

Game Time

Supervised and orchestrated by the Camp Counselors, we offer a variety of games and activities each day. Camp favorites include Bug Bingo, Drip Drip Drop (our rendition of Duck Duck Goose), Capture the Flag (or Zucchini), and on some days tattoos and face painting. Hanging out with their counselors provides our young campers with the wonderful opportunity to build team building skills and new friendships.

Farm Camp Weeks

From Seed to Snack

WEEK 1 JUNE 29-JULY 2

Here at Granor, we grow a lot of vegetables and we want our campers to dig into this colorful and fascinating world through hands-on, engaging experiences. Campers will learn where vegetables come from and how they grow by planting seeds, caring for garden beds and harvesting produce. Our vegetable inspired arts and crafts will inspire campers to see the beauty in the food we eat and grow. In the kitchen, campers will prepare fresh and simple recipes; camp favorites for this week include, beet brownies, sauerkraut and ramen jars. Campers come together this week to build curiosity, confidence and a respect for the food we eat.

The Secret Life of Flowers

WEEK 2 JULY 6-9

Our week spent in the flower garden showcases the beauty of the farm. Campers will learn how flowers grow and why they matter by planting seeds, observing pollinators and caring for garden beds. Creative activities will include making floral art, pressing flowers, and experimenting with natural dyes. Our kitchen projects feature edible flowers and tea making. Through gardening and farm experiences, children will build an understanding of seasons, ecosystems and the role flowers play in supporting the natural world, all while nurturing creativity, curiosity and wonder.

Herb Garden Adventures

WEEK 3 JULY 20-23

Back by popular demand, our herb-themed camp invites campers to explore the world of plants through hands-on creativity, curiosity and connection to the land. Campers will learn about the herbs grown here at Granor and explore them through harvesting, smelling, tasting and creating herb themed arts and crafts. We will cook with fresh herbs and discover how even the simplest of recipes become more alive and interesting with the addition of herbs. This immersive theme encourages sensory exploration, practical life skills and appreciation for nature while sparking imagination and joy.

The Juicy Garden

WEEK 4 JULY 27-30

Fruit week is a playful, hands-on exploration of the plants that give us nature’s sweetest foods. Throughout the week, campers will discover how fruits grow on trees, vines and bushes, learn about seeds, flowers and pollination. Creative experiences will include fruit-inspired art and sensory experiences - favorites include: fruit stamps and painting with fruit juices! Campers will prepare delicious recipes using fruit as a base, smoothies, berry salad dressings and fruit tarts are always a hit. If we are lucky, our raspberries will be in season and we can feast on those all week.

Reuse, Renew, Reimagine

WEEK 5 AUGUST 3-6

This sustainability-themed week encourages campers to think creatively about how we use materials and care for our land by focusing on reducing waste and repurposing everyday items. Campers will explore what it means to reuse and repurpose through hands-on projects that turn found and discarded materials into art and useful creations. Cooking activities will highlight mindful choices, minimizing food waste and teach children the importance of preservation. Through gardening experiences, campers will learn about composting and responsible stewardship helps to support healthy ecosystems. This week is always full of fun, creative energy and community.
