Join us for a cozy winter reception in our School House featuring abundant appetizers from the Granor Kitchen followed by a book signing and reading with Ms. Campbell.
Your ticket includes a discussion and book signing with the author, as well as appetizers from the Granor Kitchen. Granor Wines and cocktails highlighting Granor Spirits will be available for purchase during event. Copies of The Spirits are available as an optional add-on when booking through our website (with limited copies available night of event).
Bonnie Jo Campbell is the author of two National Bestselling novels, The Waters (2024) and Once Upon a River (2011), the latter of which was adapted into an award-winning feature film. Her 2009 short fiction collection, American Salvage, was finalist for both the National Book Award and the National Book Critic’s Circle Award.
Born and raised in Comstock Township, Michigan, just outside of Kalamazoo—where she now resides with her husband and donkeys—many of Bonnie Jo Campbell critically-acclaimed works of fictions are shaped by rural Michigan life. Her latest novel, The Spirits, is no different. Beginning in a farmhouse in small town Michigan on Christmas Eve, this story follows a young woman struggling to grapple with her father's death. In this contemporary Christmas Carol, Bonnie Jo Campbell has created a complex, gritty, spooky, and ultimately heartwarming holiday story; and we couldn't imagine a better setting or season to delve into this story than Granor Farm during the holidays.
