Pasta Club, inspired by the beloved Sourdough club series, is a series of classes hosted once a month, each focused on a different pasta related topic. Led by Julie Morelli of Nourishing Notes, and Jill Morgan, Granor’s Baker and Education Lead, you will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of fresh pasta making and sauce building with spirited stories along the way!
First Session: Traditional Techniques | Experience the tradition of handmade Italian pasta in this demonstration-style class focused on Traditional Pasta Making.
During this class, students will observe mixing, kneading, and rolling pasta entirely by hand using a traditional mattarello (Italian rolling pin), sharing the techniques and artistry behind the process. You'll also be introduced to the chitarra, a traditional pasta-cutting tool used to create spaghetti alla chitarra, as Julie demonstrates its use and discusses its history. Each participant will have the opportunity to shape a small portion of fresh pasta. Perfect for cooks of all experience levels, this class offers an inspiring look at traditional pasta making.
All Pasta Club sessions include a light dinner featuring our just-harvested produce and Granor Wines (with non-alcoholic pairings available).
