sesame peas

This quick cooking peas pair well with a dish of steamed rice or any sort of grilled meat or fish

2 tbsp coconut or neutral oil
2 cartons snow or snap peas
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame seeds, black or white


  1. In a large frying pan, heat the coconut or neutral oil over high heat until just about smoking
  2. Add the peas with a pinch of salt and cook, undisturbed, until bright green and starting to blister
  3. Stir and add the garlic and ginger cook an additional minute or two
  4. Remove from the heat and add the sesame oil, soy sauce, and sesame seeds and stir
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired
