Pork Lettuce Wraps

This dish is flavorful enough to be served on it's own. It would also pair well with steamed rice or alongside a thai curry.

2 heads butter lettuce
1 lb ground pork
1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp fish sauce
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 shallot, minced
2 limes, juiced
2 tbsp sesame oil
cilantro and mint, roughly chopped


  1. Separate all of the lettuce leaves and wash then allow to dry
  2. Combine the pork, ginger, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, and shallot then let sit 10 minutes
  3. Pan fry the pork until brown and cooked through
  4. Toss the cooked pork with the lime juice and sesame oil
  5. Serve by scooping the pork into the lettuce leaves and wrapping around
