We’re thrilled to announce two brand-new expressions of our favorite Granor Distilling products: our Dry Gin and Semi-Sweet Vermouth. Both have been resting for nearly a year in Granor Bushel Bourbon barrels, gaining a rich layer of depth and dimension that makes them perfect for your upcoming fall cocktails.
The Barrel-Aged Gin begins with a base of our classic Dry Gin, distilled from Winter Wheat grown by Granor. After aging in bourbon oak barrels, this new evolution yields a spirit that delicately balances herbal notes and subtle sweetness. The bourbon barrel leaves it's mark in a rich, amber hue.
Next, the Barrel-Aged Vermouth also was matured in bourbon oak barrels. Our semi-sweet Vermouth evolves into a richer, more contemplative expression of the original aperitif. Warm notes of toasted oak, baking spice, and vanilla create a deeper, silkier profile while preserving its unmistakable botanical balance.
Since we produce our spirits in such small batches at Granor Farm, we are able to pour into the details of what makes a truly remarkable spirit.
All of the barrels we use for aging our spirits are handcrafted and made to order by Joe Smith of Croze Nest. He uses American white oak from the Ozark region, where mineral-rich, dry soil conditions yield highly desirable tight grain patterns and concentrated wood sugars. These sought-after characteristics, paired with Joe's mastery of his craft, result in the perfect vessels for Granor's whiskeys to develop.
Taste the unique imprint of these Michigan-made white oak barrels in Granor's Whiskeys, and in our Barrel-Aged Gin and Vermouth.
