First Session: Traditional Techniques | Experience the beauty of handmade Italian pasta in this demonstration-style class focused on Traditional Pasta Making.

During this class, students will observe mixing, kneading, and rolling pasta entirely by hand using a traditional mattarello (Italian rolling pin), sharing the techniques and artistry behind the process. You'll also be introduced to the chitarra, a traditional pasta-cutting tool used to create spaghetti alla chitarra, as Julie demonstrates its use and discusses its history. Each participant will have the opportunity to shape a small portion of fresh pasta. Afterwards, everyone will sit down to enjoy a light dinner featuring plenty of pasta, our just-harvested produce, and Granor wines. Perfect for cooks of all experience levels, this class offers an inspiring look at traditional pasta making.
