Tomato and Ground Cherry Salad

Cherry tomato, ground cherry, tomato-- three times fast.

1 pint ground cherries, lanterns removed and cut in half
3 heirloom tomato slicers, cut into 1/4" thick slabs
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1 lemon, zestolive oil
1 spring mint or basil


  1. On a large serving platter, lay out the sliced tomatoes
  2. Scatter the halved ground cherries and cherry tomatoes all over
  3. Sprinkle with salt
  4. With a grater, grate the lemon zest all over
  5. Drizzle liberally with olive oil
  6. Tear the mint or basil leaves and serve immediately
