Basic Buckwheat Groats

Buckwheat is basically perfect-- quick cooking, nutritious, delicious, and gluten free.

2 cups buckwheat groats


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
  2. Whisk in the buckwheat groats
  3. Return to a boil and then reduce to a simmer
  4. Simmer until tender, about 10 minutes
  5. Drain the groats away from the water and dress with a glug of olive oil and serve
