We are thrilled to be welcoming James Beard Finalists Chefs Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee back to Granor Farm this May. Chef Patterson and Chef Blakeslee are the co-chefs and co-owners of The Cooks' House, a destination, farm-to-fork eatery in Traverse City, Michigan. Each of their innovative, seasonal menus are built around local produce and inspired by global flavors. At Granor, they will be creating their menu alongside Granor Chef Alex Skrzypczyk in the same manner—harvesting the freshest spring produce from our fields and designing a one-of-a-kind, never-to-be-repeated menu celebrating the glory of May in Michigan.
This Dinner features a five-course meal accompanied by Granor Table Wines and Granor Spirits, with non-alcohol pairings available upon request.
Chefs Eric Patterson and Jennifer Blakeslee began working together in Las Vegas under famed French Chef, André Rochat, at his Michelin-starred restaurant. It was there that their dream of returning to Blakeslee's native Traverse City and opening a restaurant shaped by local food began.
The first manifestation of that dream—The Cooks' House first location—opened in 2008. Nearly 20 years later, Chefs Patterson and Blakeslee now host year-round, intimate dinners in The Cook's House 26-seat dining room with ingredients sourced from local farms and producers. Their exceptional, boundary-pushing food earned them a James Beard nomination for Best Chef Great Lakes in 2025, further cementing The Cooks' House as a premier Northern Michigan culinary institution.
Chefs Blakeslee and Patterson first came to Granor Farm in September 2023 and are thrilled to be back with their entire team.
