Broccolini with Anchovy, Green Garlic and Bread Crumbs

This is dead simple and so delicious.

Ingredients

2 bunches broccolini
2 stalks green garlic, sliced thinly
4 anchovy filets
3/4 cup bread crumbs
1 lemon, zest and juice
1/4 cup olive oil

Method

  1. In a large frying pan, heat a big glug of olive oil over medium high heat
  2. Pan roast the broccolini with a hefty pinch of salt and black pepper until seared on the outside and tender when pierced
  3. Remove from the pan, dress with the lemon juice, and set aside
  4. Wipe out the pan and return to the burner
  5. Add the 1/4 cup olive oil, green garlic,  anchovy filets, and lemon zest then reduce the heat to medium low
  6. Fry until the anchovies start to melt and the garlic is soft
  7. Add the breadcrumbs and toast in the flavorful oil until golden brown
  8. Top the broccolini with the breadcrumbs and serve
