Third Wave, Third Coast: Modern Michigan Wine Dinner

Date Jun 14 2025
Time 6:30-10:30PM
Cost: $250 inclusive of meal, wine pairings, wine maker conversation, gratuity, tax, and processing

There's something happening with wine in Michigan... something great.
.
For the last 60 plus years, Michigan has been a developing as a nuanced, agriculturally-focused, and delicious wine making region. We are hosting a wine dinner with two of our favorite regional, estate wine makers, Stranger Wine Company from Buchanan and Folklor from Charlevoix.
.
Enjoy a 5 course meal from the Granor Kitchen paired with alternating pours from Stranger and Folklor. Proceeding the meal will be a conversation with the wine making farmers about the state of Michigan estate wines, their respective businesses, and whether or not the rumor that all wine makers just drink PBR is true or not.

In essence, the third wave of winemaking represents a movement towards greater authenticity, terroir expression, and a deeper appreciation for the nuances of wine production, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved while staying true to the essence of traditional winemaking.

Both Folklor and Stranger Wine Company stand on the shoulders of the wine makers and growers who came before them as they look to the future of what is possible to create with the incredible agricultural bounty of Michigan. Both wineries believe that wine is an expression of the land, their work, and a vehicle for connecting around a table.

We hope you join us in celebrating these two unique wineries that are furthering Michgian's already impressive wine making culture.
