Our 2026 Granor Farm Kick Off Event will be one of the most special nights on the farm. Join us for a true Dinner Party, complete with cocktail hour and multi-course family style meal. This first-of-the-series event is in support of Passages: Artists in Solidarity with Immigrants, Refugees, and Asylum Seekers, a brand new compilation album featuring newly commissioned songs from Dirty Projectors, Bonnie "Prince" Billie, Alan Sparhawk of Low, and many others.
.
The evening will kick off a cocktail and appetizer hour with the album's co-producer Emilie Rex and DJ set from local musican and album contributor Erik Hall. We will then move to the Granor Greenhouse for a family style meal, inspired by the idea of 'home', which is central to the mission of the work, all accompanied by the Pasages vinyl LP as our dinner music. This event continues the project's fundraising efforts with donations going directly to the two Texas-based, non-profit support organizations, American Gateways and Casa Marianella.
.
Albums will be available for pre-order at the time of booking and for purchase on the night.
The meal will be paired with Granor Table Wines and full NA beverages are available upon request.
Passages was produced by Emilie Rex and Rick Alverson and includes original music from 17 nationally recognized musicians.
From the Producers:
We hope that you are able to listen to Passages in a place that feels like home – in comfort and safety, with freedom to move. The artists wrote and recorded these songs in gratitude for and protection of that same place. Home, as we know it, is at risk.
Immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers expressing their right to safe passage are defending our access to that very right. Among the many organizations working in solidarity with them are two Texas-based non-profits named American Gateways and Casa Marianella. With over 70 years of collective experience, these organizations provide no-to-low cost legal services, food, shelter, access to health care, and other essential services. In addition to artists' generous contributions, all labor—producing, mixing, mastering, design, and publicity—and manufacturing costs associated with the record were donated or fundraised separately to ensure all proceeds fund American Gateways and Casa Marianella’s critical work.
Passages is both an acknowledgement of work in progress and an invitation to do more. Our representatives need to see us. Our families need to hear from us. Our neighbors and local organizations on the front lines of this crisis are ready for us to join them.
