Jim Franks is a baker and poet who has written a love story to bread. Through humor, history, relentless curiosity, and refreshingly unsentimental poetry, his new book, Existential Bread, teaches there are many ways to bake a loaf. This class, lead by Jim alongside Granor Baker Jill Morgan and Abra Berens, will dive into all things bread and life.
.
This two hour class is primarily demonstration with some opportunity for hands on work and includes a snack, non-alcoholic beverages and a copy of Existential Bread.
Students arrive to a light snack then grab a chair at the Granor Kitchen Island to talk bread with Jim and Jill. The demonstration will cover all aspects of bread making including firing bread in our wood oven. These classes are interactive and have lots of opportunity for question asking and one on one instruction.
Students leave with a slew of information, a loaf of bread to bake at home, a fully baked loaf, and a copy of Existential Bread.
