Granor Farm is fortunate to be rooted in a region supported by a variety of organizations devoted to improving the common good. Granor’s “Community Benefit Dinner” series connects diners with regional place-makers with Granor Farm as a philanthropic partner. Our program begins with a discussion orientated around the organization and how it connects to the region, followed by a multi-course meal showcasing ingredients grown by Granor.

Chikaming Open Lands (COL) is an accredited land conservancy, dedicated to preserving the natural open spaces in Berrien County. Founded in 1999 by four community members concerned about the threat of over development in the area, the organization currently protects more than 2,300 acres and growing. Its mission is to preserve the rural, natural character of the area; improve water quality in our streams, rivers, and in Lake Michigan; and protect and restore native plant and animal habitat in the region.
The event begins with drinks and a conversation with COL’s Education & Outreach Coordinator Grace Fredenburg and Development Director Jen Underwood about the importance of getting our children outdoors and engaged with nature, and how COL is working with local elementary schools to provide that opportunity through its Mighty Acorns program.
Immediately after the talk, a multi-course dinner featuring crops grown by Granor and inspired by our local parks and preserves will be served in our Greenhouse.
This ticket includes a $150 donation to Chikaming Open Lands that will be collected at the time of booking. Please know we are not a restaurant open to the public. All dinners are ticketed by advance reservation only and include beverage pairings. No outside alcohol is allowed.
