In everything from Indian Dahl to Thai Red Curry, ginger and garlic are the base of cuisines around the world. Join Chefs Jill Morgan and Abra Berens to learn about growing these essential crops in Southwest Michigan and how to incorporate their bold flavors into your home cooking. This class will cover everything from how to select the best ginger and garlic, how to preserve your fresh aromatics (think pickled garlic and candied ginger!), and how to create an entire meal around these two magical plants.
Our workshops are the most in-depth course we offer.
Students arrive to a glass of sparkling wine and snacks then partner up with their fellow classmates to prepare at least six family style dishes with demonstration and support of the Granor Chef Team.
After all of the dishes are prepared, students sit together for a meal tasting the fruits of their labors and asking any remaining cooking questions. Meals feature Granor Table Wine.
Students leave with full bellies, complete digital and printed recipes, and a hands on knowledge of each dish as well as a slew of kitchen tips and techniques to take to their own kitchen.

Join Granor Head Baker, Jill Morgan, as she guides you through the entire sourdough process from feeding starter, shaping, proofing, scoring, and baking in both a wood and electric oven. In addition to the instruction this package includes all meals including a Welcome Dinner on Thursday night, breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday as well as dinner with Harold Wilken from Janie's Mill in the Granor Farm Botanical Dining Room on Friday evening. Throughout the class you'll have full access to the Granor Kitchen and Team to learn all of our tricks and techniques.

Students leave with a slew of information, recipes, and the confidence to begin (or continue) their sourdough journey. Participants in the 3 Day Intensive also receive a promo code at the time of booking for 10% of the subsequent Sourdough Club tutorials throughout the year.
