The Granor Kitchen is a teaching space designed to demonstrate our cooking techniques, helping you become a more confident cook in your own kitchen. We offer programming in the following three formats:
New this year, Granor Chefs will discuss the process by which they develop and prepare an entire menu based on the seasonal produce often harvested from our fields that very day. These demonstration dinners are your chance to hear from Granor Chefs about menu building, ingredient preparation, and recipe creations. Think of this as a Taste of Granor Dinner with a front row seat.
The Granor Chef will teach a minimum of five different dishes, and serve a tasting portion of each one accompanied by our Granor Table Wine*.
These events are typically about three hours and you will leave with the collection of recipes and a full belly.
*non-alcoholic beverages are available upon request
Our workshops compliment how we approach building a meal in the Granor Kitchen. Together with your classmates, you will learn about a particular collection of ingredients or think through a thematic menu, and prepare up to 6 different dishes under the tutelage of the Granor chef. The experience is enhanced with stories behind the recipes and hands-on preparation. We will come together as a group and enjoy the fruits of our labor with a sit-down, family-style meal, which includes Granor Table Wine.*
Workshops are generally about 4 hours and can include a walking tour of the farm.
*non-alcoholic beverages are available upon request
Led by Granor Chefs, the Granor Culinary Tutorials focus on a specific technique, ingredient, recipe or holiday favorite to help expand your confidence in the kitchen.
These two hour classes are primarily demonstration with some opportunity for hands on work.
The Tutorials include snacks and non-alcoholic beverages but not a full meal experience.
