Women's History Month

Celebrating Women in Food

For farmers and artisans, Spring is the time to gather, share stories, and prepare for the growing season. In celebration of Women's History Month, we are bringing together the producers we admire most.

Friday, March 27 | Dinner + Drinks: Women in Food

We've curated a one-of-a-kind evening at Granor celebrating the women shaping our regional food system. This immersive dining experience features a menu and pairings built entirely around the ingredients and artistry of local, woman-owned businesses:

Madre Masa: Fresh masa from Granor-grown heirloom corn.

Willowbrook Farms: High-quality, pasture-raised pork and chicken.

Sticky Spoons Jam: Artisanal jams made with local fruit.

Verdant Hollow Farms: Animal Welfare Approved, organic farmstead goat cheese.

Mick Klüg Farms: Sustainably farmed, hand-harvested fresh and preserved fruit.

Nourishing Notes: Food-themed independent letterpress cards.

Meet the heroines of our food and beverage community. These incredible ingredients will be featured alongside organic produce and craft spirits from Granor Farm

Come meet your makers, hear their stories, and toast the women who cultivate our community.

behind the scenes

Meet Kaitlin Escobar

Kaitlin’s life has always been shaped by the rhythms of the Southwest Michigan landscape. From her childhood forged in the woods and vineyards of Berrien Springs to her degree in Environmental Studies, her connection to this soil is deeply personal.

As our Farm Assistant, Kaitlin is a vital force behind the abundance we share. She nurtures the organic vegetables and fragrant herbs that grace our Taste of Granor dinners, and when you pick up a basket of seasonal bounty at our Farm Store, you are experiencing her dedication first-hand.

Since joining us in 2024, Kaitlin has become a heartbeat of our ecosystem. Whether she is managing the greenhouse, tending to our bees, or capturing the farm's beauty through her camera lens, she embodies the spirit of the modern agrarian: deeply rooted, yet always moving toward a sustainable future.
