Melon and Tahini Salad

Serve this with ice cold melon for a spicy, nutty treat on a hot day.


1 cantaloupe or watermelon, rind removed and cut into large pieces
1/2 cup tahini
1/2 cup water
1 hot pepper, finely minced
3 sprigs mint
1 tbsp black sesame seeds (optional)


  1. Keep the melon in the fridge until just before serving
  2. Whisk together the tahini and water with a pinch of salt
  3. To serve toss the melon, hot pepper, and mint with a pinch of salt and glug of olive oil
  4. Transfer to a serving platter then drizzle with the tahini dressing and finish with a flurry of sesame seeds if using
