Granor Farm is fortunate to be rooted in a region full of artisan producers. Meet the Producer Dinners connect diners with a regional food producer as we sample their tasty work and learn about what goes into its production. Each meal begins with discussion with the farmers, followed by a multi-course, family-style meal showcasing their ingredients as well as vegetables and grains grown by Granor.
Our October Producer Dinner features the produce from Starflower Farm in Fennville, MI and a conversation with farmers Missy Corey and Ryan Beck.
Missy is an accomplished chef having cooked through Maine, Chicago, and now Michigan. Ryan is an accomplished grower focused on intensive vegetable farming and landscape design.
Missy and Ryan produce traditional farm offerings, like organically grown produce, eggs, and flowers. They, similar to Granor Farm, also offer a new model of agribusiness, forging an intersection of the kitchen and the farm. They understand that nothing beats experiencing food at the source, and creating a truly complete meal that showcases food directly from the garden beds to the dinner table.
This meal will be a special collaboration combining produce from both Starflower and Granor Farms and prepared both by Missy and Abra in the kitchen. We are beyond excited to have like minded farmers and cooks in the region and can't wait to share our table with both of them and you.
