Based in Buchanan, Michigan, Stranger Wine Co is dedicated making minimal intervention wines by implementing regenerative viticultural practices. Their estate, Avonlea Vineyard, was the site of some of the earliest plantings of vinifera in Southwest Michigan, but suffered due to disease pressure and a series of hard winters. Stranger Wine Co's owners Maxx and Sidney are fully restoring the vineyard using methods such as biofungicides, integrated pest management, cover cropping, and encouraging native pollination sites.

Their minimal intervention, whole cluster pressed wines go through native fermentation to beautifully express Avonlea's unique terroir. Maxx and Sidney are among a small group of young winemakers who are bringing new energy to Michigan wine and their passion for producing exquisite wines while simultaneously healing the soil is inspiring.

The evening will begin with a talk with Stranger Wine Co about regenerative agriculture, the joys and difficulties of winemaking in Michigan, and what they are looking forward to in coming years.

After the discussion, we'll move to the Greenhouse for a Granor twist on the Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes, with wine pairings provided by Stranger Wine Co. The evening will conclude with dessert and a special small batch vermouth prepared in collaboration between Stranger Wine Co and Granor's distiller and only available for this one dinner.

Join us for a not-to-be-missed celebration of wine and the holiday season!

*Please note that we cannot accommodate vegan, vegetarian, or fish allergies for this dinner.*
