There's nothing better than cooking and eating, except reading about cooking and eating. Our Book + Supper Club combines those three loves in one evening of cookbooks, dinner, and conversation. Please join us for Book and Supper Club with Ouita Michel, famed chef, restaurateur, and author of the recently published, Just a Few Miles South.
The evening will kick off with a conversation with Ouita, talking about life as a chef in Lexington, running 9 restaurants, the cookbook writing process, and why it is important to recognize the nuance in "southern food". She will be joined by Granor chef, Abra Berens, to discuss the larger food movement and how their restaurants are similar and different in vastly different regions as well as what is the actual best way to taste bourbon.
Following the discussion will be a multi-course meal with dishes inspired by Ouita's book, Just a Few Miles South. The meal will close with a book signing.
Every ticket includes a copy of Just a Few Miles South. Additional copies of each will be on hand for purchase the night of the event or can be added on during the booking process.
