Join us in welcoming Michigan artist Bonnie Lalley, whose large-format works combine collage and painting to capture the ethereal beauty of the natural world.
Inspired by antique textiles as well as by her farm life in northern Michigan, Bonnie's multi-layered works call to mind 18th century artist Mary Delany as well as the lyrical evocations of the natural world of Annie Dillard and Wendell Berry.
The evening will kick off with a conversation with Bonnie about the new works that she is creating for this dinner and the following day's exhibition in the Granor Farm School House and the creative inspiration that she draws from her immersion in the natural world.
Following the discussion will be a multi-course meal with dishes inspired by Bonnie's paintings, which will be displayed in the dining room during dinner.
Presented as part of Harbor Country Art Attack 2023.
